The AromaOtt web player lets members watch in a browser without installing anything: open aromaott.com, sign in, and the player opens with Live TV, Movies, Series and Settings. It works in recent browsers on computers, phones and tablets, and in many smart TV browsers. A browser has stricter limits than the Android app, especially for http playlists.

How do I start?

  1. Open aromaott.com in a recent browser and choose Member sign-in.
  2. Sign in with your username and password, or choose I have an activation code. A short security check confirms you are not a bot.
  3. If two-step sign-in is on for your account, enter the 6-digit code.
  4. The player opens. The first time, a loading screen shows your channels, movies and series coming in.

The browser now counts as one of your account's devices.

What can I do in the web player?

  • Live TV: on a computer, categories, channels and the picture in three columns; on a phone, categories first, then channels. Separate category and channel searches, recent categories, and Live TV starts on your last channel.
  • Movies and Series: posters by category, details, seasons and episodes, resume points and watched marks.
  • My List: save channels and titles with ♡.
  • Several playlists: switch from the Playlist button, add an M3U link or Xtream login in Settings → Playlist.
  • Player controls: audio tracks, subtitles (including online subtitles and subtitle files), subtitle size, speed, picture in picture and full screen.
  • Settings: theme (Auto, Light or Dark), app language, navigation sounds, and your account with devices and sign-in.

Where are my web player choices kept?

Some things stay in that browser only, in its storage on your device: My List, the last channel, the autoplay choice and the content-language filter. They are not sent to us. Resume points, watched marks, your language and player settings are saved with your account.

In the Android app, My List is saved with your account instead, so the app and the browser can show different lists.

Which browsers work?

Recent versions of the common browsers on computers, Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads. On a smart TV, use the TV's own browser and go to aromaott.com; the web player switches to TV mode with large text and remote navigation. TV browsers differ from model to model, and some may not play every stream.

Why does the browser say a playlist plays "through our server"?

Many providers use plain http addresses. A secure https page such as aromaott.com is not allowed to load http video, so for such a playlist the web player usually plays it through our server and shows a short notice. That works as long as the provider accepts our server.

If the provider refuses our server, a browser has three ways out, depending on what you use:

  1. Safari, and browsers with built-in HLS: the player offers Open in the HTTP player, a plain http page of the player (not encrypted) where the browser reaches the provider itself.
  2. Chrome, Edge, Brave or Firefox on a computer: install the optional AromaOtt Web Helper extension.
  3. Android phones, tablets and TVs: use the AromaOtt app, which plays these playlists on the device.

Why does a movie say it cannot be played in the browser?

Browsers support fewer video and audio formats than the Android app. A file in an unusual format shows This file cannot be played in the browser. Try the same title in the app, where Android's own player decodes more formats with the device's hardware.

How do I sign out of a browser?

Use Sign out in the account menu. This frees the browser's device place at once, so another device can use it. If you clear the browser's cookies, you are signed out too, and the browser may count as a new device next time.

Is the web player different from the landing page?

Yes. aromaott.com shows a public page about the player to visitors who are not signed in. Once you are signed in as a member, the site opens the player directly.
