Movies and Series in AromaOtt Player show the films and series of your active playlist: posters by category, details at a tap, seasons and episodes with watched marks, and resume points. The player contains no titles of its own. If your playlist has no movies or series, those sections are not there, or they say so.
Where do the titles come from?
From the active playlist only:
- the provider playlist your provider set up, which may include a Movies & Series package; or
- one of your own playlists, an Xtream login or an M3U link, when it contains movies and series.
When one of your own playlists is active, Movies and Series come from it alone; nothing from the provider playlist is mixed in. Switch back with the Playlist button on the home screen.
How do I browse Movies?
- Open Movies from the home screen.
- Pick a category, or use the category search to find one by name.
- Scroll the posters, or use Search movies… to find a title.
- Select a poster to open its details: description, cast and director when the playlist provides them, and Watch.
- Use Add to My List to keep it for later.
How do I watch a series?
- Open Series and pick a category or search for the series.
- Open the series to see its seasons and episodes.
- Each episode shows Watched, In progress with a percentage, or Not watched.
- Select Continue S1 E4 (for example) to start the next episode to watch, or pick any episode.
- At the end of an episode, the next one starts after a short countdown unless you cancel.
What happens when a movie is not ready yet?
On some lines, a movie or episode can only play when a connection is free. The player then shows Getting your movie ready… and starts by itself as soon as it can. If a title is very busy, it says so and offers Keep trying or Browse similar.
Why do some titles show little information?
Details come from your playlist. If the provider gives only a name and a poster, that is what you see. The player does not add descriptions or pictures from elsewhere.
Do large libraries work?
Yes. On playlists that play on your device, the Android app loads large movie and series libraries on the device and keeps a copy, so they open quickly next time. Lists are not refreshed in the background while something plays, so playback is not disturbed. Use Reload on the home screen, or pull down on a phone, to fetch them fresh.
Can I choose subtitles and audio?
When a title offers several audio tracks or subtitles, you can switch them in the player. The web player can also search online subtitles for a movie or episode, or load a subtitle file from your device. The subtitles article explains what is available where.
Does it resume where I stopped?
Yes. Every movie and episode remembers its position, saved with your account, so you can continue on another device. The home screen's Continue watching row lists what you started.
Can I filter by language?
In the web player, Movies and Series can ask you to choose a language for the section when the playlist has titles in several languages, so you only see the ones you want. Choose All languages to see everything.
Why does a movie not play in my browser?
Some files use formats a browser cannot play, and the player says This file cannot be played in the browser. The Android app plays more formats through Android's own player. Some providers also refuse streams from servers; see the article on direct play.
