To change the audio track or subtitles in AromaOtt Player, open the player's controls while watching and select Audio or Subtitles: you see every track the stream offers. For movies and episodes, Online subtitles searches for subtitles in other languages, and the web player can also load a subtitle file from your device and change the subtitle size.
Which tracks can I choose from?
Only the ones the stream contains. A movie file may carry several audio languages and subtitles; many live channels carry one audio track and nothing else. If the menu shows a single track, the stream has no other. Tracks without a language name are shown as Track 1, Track 2 and so on.
How do I change the audio track?
- While watching, show the player's controls (tap the picture, move the mouse, or press OK or Down on a remote).
- Open Settings (the gear) in the web player, or the Audio button in the app.
- Under Audio, choose a track.
The change applies at once; the picture keeps playing.
How do I turn subtitles on or off?
- Show the player's controls.
- Select Subtitles.
- Pick a language to turn them on, or Off.
In the web player, the subtitles button also shows Subtitles on or Subtitles off, and the settings menu shows which language is in use.
What are Online subtitles?
For a movie or an episode that has no subtitles in your language, choose Online subtitles. The player searches a subtitle service for that title (by its name or database number, with the season and episode for series) and lists what it finds, with the number of languages available. Pick one and it is shown over the picture.
- If nothing is found, the player says None found for this title.
- If the service does not answer, it says Subtitle service unavailable. Try again later.
Our server makes the search with its own key. Nothing about you is sent with it: not your account, not your IP address.
Can I load my own subtitle file?
In the web player, yes: choose Load subtitle file… in the subtitles menu and pick a subtitle file from your computer, phone or tablet. This is handy when you already have subtitles for a title in your language.
How do I make subtitles bigger?
In the web player's settings, Subtitle size offers Small, Medium, Large and Extra large. On a TV across the room, Large or Extra large is usually easier to read.
Can the player remember my languages?
Yes. Open My account → Player settings on the website and set:
- Preferred audio language;
- Preferred subtitle language (or Off / default).
The player then picks these tracks automatically when a stream offers them, so you do not have to change them on every title. The settings are saved with your account.
What else is in the player's settings?
- Playback speed, from slower to faster than normal, for movies and episodes.
- Quality, when the stream offers several.
- Zoom in the app, to change how the picture fills the screen.
- Picture in picture in browsers that support it.
Why does the sound not match the picture language?
Some providers label tracks wrongly or not at all. If Track 2 turns out to be the language you want, use it; the player can only show the labels the stream gives.
Why is there sound but no picture, or picture but no sound?
That is usually a format the device cannot decode, not a track setting. See the dedicated article for what to try.
