AromaOtt Player can keep several playlists: the provider playlist your provider assigned, plus up to 10 playlists of your own (each an M3U link or an Xtream login). One is active at a time. Switch with the Playlist button on the home screen, and rename, refresh or remove playlists from the same place or from Settings → Playlist.
What is the provider playlist?
It is what your provider set up on your member account: a line, servers, or a Movies & Series package. It appears as Provider playlist in the switcher, marked Set up by your provider. You cannot rename or remove it; only your provider can change it.
Your own playlists are marked Added by you. You manage them yourself.
How do I switch playlists?
- On the home screen, select the Playlist button. It shows the name of the active playlist.
- In Choose playlist, select the one you want.
- The player says Switched to [name]. Loading… and reloads Live TV, Movies and Series from it.
The first time you open a playlist, the loading screen shows its sections coming in. When you come back to it later, the home appears at once and refreshes in the background.
What changes when I switch?
Everything you browse follows the active playlist:
- Live TV, Movies and Series come only from the active playlist. Nothing is mixed in from the others.
- The home shows only the sections the active playlist has. If it has no movies, the Movies tile is not there.
- Live TV starts on the last channel you watched in that playlist, otherwise on the first channel of your last category.
- Recent categories and the last Live category are remembered per playlist.
What the provider assigned stays as it is while one of your own playlists is active, and comes back when you switch to the provider playlist.
How do I add another playlist?
In Settings → Playlist, select Add another playlist, then follow the steps for an M3U link or an Xtream login. A newly added playlist becomes the active one straight away. When you reach the limit, the player says You already have 10 playlists. Remove one to add another.
How do I rename, refresh, reorder or remove one?
In Settings → Playlist, under Your playlists, each entry has its actions:
- Set active: make it the active playlist.
- Rename: give it a clear name, such as "Living room" or "Sports line". An empty name goes back to "AromaOtt".
- Refresh: check it again with the server. The counts, the check date and, for Xtream, the expiry date are updated, and the cached lists are dropped so they load fresh.
- Remove: delete it after confirming. If it was active, the next playlist in the list becomes active, otherwise the one before, otherwise the provider playlist.
What does the list tell me about each playlist?
For each playlist you see its type and server (host only, never the full address), the last check date, the numbers of channels, movies and series found, and for Xtream lines the expiry date and whether it ends within 7 days.
Are there limits on checks?
Yes. Each member can save 5 playlists and run 20 checks or refreshes per hour. Only one check runs at a time per member. These limits protect providers' servers and ours.
Does a second playlist give me more connections?
No. Each line has its own connection limit at its provider. Adding the same line twice, once as M3U and once as Xtream, does not add connections: both use the same line.
Is anything filtered by country?
No. Playlists from any server and any country are accepted, and names in any script are shown as they are. The player's language follows your settings, not your playlists.
