AromaOtt Player shows a notice such as Your playlist expires in 3 days when a playlist or your access ends within 7 days. It appears at most once a day, so you have time to renew with your provider before anything stops playing. The date comes from your Xtream line or from the end of the access your provider set up.
Where does the end date come from?
There are two kinds of dates:
- Your provider playlist: the end of the access your provider set up on your member account, including any renewal already queued.
- Your own Xtream playlists: the end date the Xtream server reports for that line. The player reads it when you add the playlist and each time you refresh it.
An M3U link does not report any end date, so the player cannot warn you about it.
What does the notice look like?
It names the date and the days left:
- Your playlist expires today (date)
- Your playlist expires tomorrow (date)
- Your playlist expires in n days (date)
It has two buttons: Got it, which hides it for the rest of the day, and Renew with your provider, a reminder that renewals go through whoever provides your line. AromaOtt Player does not sell or renew anything itself.
In Settings → Playlist, playlists that end within 7 days are also marked Expires within 7 days, and each Xtream line shows Line valid until with its date.
Why once a day?
The notice is a reminder, not a blocker. Showing it every time you open the app would be in the way; showing it once a day makes sure you see it without having to dismiss it again and again.
How are the days counted?
Days are counted on calendar dates on our server, the same way for every device, so your phone, your TV and your browser always show the same number. "0 days" means the line ends today or has already ended.
What happens when a playlist ends?
That depends on the provider. Usually the server refuses the line, and the player shows a short sentence explaining it, for example This line has expired or isn't active when you check it, or that the provider refused the stream. Your other playlists keep working; switch to one of them with the Playlist button on the home screen.
When your member access ends, the player shows No active subscription and asks you to contact your provider to renew. A running subscription is needed to watch anything, whichever playlist is active.
I renewed, but the notice is still there. What do I do?
- For your own Xtream playlist, open Settings → Playlist and select Refresh on that playlist. The player checks the line again and reads the new date.
- For the provider playlist, the new date appears once your provider has extended your access. Reopen the app after they confirm it.
- If the date still looks wrong, open Settings → About → Diagnostics in the Android app and share what it shows with your provider.
Can I turn the notice off?
There is no switch to turn it off, because missing an end date usually means a surprise interruption. You can dismiss it with Got it for the day.
Where does the notice appear?
In the Android app on phones, tablets and TVs, and in the web player. Because the days are counted on our server, every device shows the same date. If you use several devices, you may see the notice once a day on each of them, which is normal.
