AromaOtt Player on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV is made for the remote: the arrow keys move, OK opens, Back goes back, Channel up / down changes channel and play/pause works in the player. Long-press OK on a channel, movie or series adds it to My List. Signing in needs no typing: approve a code on your phone.
What does each button do?

How do I move around Live TV?
- From the home screen, open Live TV. It starts playing your last channel at once.
- Move left to the categories column and right to the channels column; each scrolls on its own.
- Long columns have an A–Z strip along the edge: move onto it and pick a letter to jump.
- Press OK on a channel to play it, and OK on the picture for full screen.
- In full screen you can open the categories and channels without leaving full screen.
How do I search with the remote?
Each column has its own search pill: one for categories, one for channels. Select it and press OK: the TV's keyboard opens. A few letters are usually enough, because the search ignores capitals and accents.
How do I wake the controls without changing anything?
When the player's controls are hidden, the first arrow press only shows them; it does not press anything. Then move to the button you want and press OK.
How do I sign in on a TV without typing?
- The signed-out app shows an 8-character code and a QR code.
- On your phone, scan the QR code or open aromaott.com/activate and enter the code.
- Choose Yes, sign in on the phone. The TV signs in within seconds.
If you prefer, choose to enter your activation code and pick the characters with the remote.
Which screens are made for TV?
Everything in the TV app: the home with Live TV, Movies and Series, the Live TV columns, the posters and episode lists, Settings, Diagnostics and the player. Text is larger and focus is clearly highlighted, so you always see where you are from the sofa.
Can I use the web player with a remote?
Yes. In a TV's web browser, the web player has a TV mode with large text and remote-control navigation. It turns on by itself on TV browsers and can also be switched in your account. Browsers on smart TVs vary by model, and some may not play every stream.
Can I turn off the navigation sounds?
Yes. The player makes soft sounds as you move around, never while a video plays. Turn them off in Settings → Navigation sounds.
What if a button does nothing?
- Some remotes have no Channel up / down. Use Up and Down in full-screen Live TV instead.
- If the focus seems lost, press Back once and move again.
- If a remote button triggers the TV's own function instead (for example a shortcut to another app), that button is reserved by the TV and cannot be used by apps.
